How can I dye a part of a necktie?

Well, I found a really cool necktie and I was planning on wearing it around, but after I had bought it I found out it happened to have the word hell on it. Might not sound like a big deal, but people will make it a big deal. It’s mostly black, so all I need to do is dye a small part of it black without ruining it, or cover it up somehow. (a black tie clip?)
It’s an AC/DC tie, and it has some intricate details. So I’m kinda looking for a way to carefully dye it. It was also a semi-expensive tie.I’ve never dyed anything, so I really have no idea how to fix it.
Thanks for the answers.

I think the best place to take it is to the professionals. Don’t risk ruining your new cool necktie. Go to a place that dyes wedding shoes to match the dresses. They’ll do it there. Good Luck!

If it’s black, you can just use a sharpie and colour over it. Be careful though, if you don’t wash it after you sharpie it….it may look a little funny. The other thing you can do is buy som Rit dye and dye it…..but you may get bleeding.
You could do something funny, like draw an “o” next to it, or wear a button over it.
