I just got a knitted necktie for a present,and I don’t know how do I tie it,because it’s kinda short and a windsor consumes a lot of it.please help me

I know it’s a weird question but I ask this because I heard people won’t take you seriously if it is, i don’t mind if my necktie is over my shoulder i really don’t pay attention to it but does it give out a bad feedback to everyone outside?
When i say over my shoulder I mean when it gets windy just letting you know.

I want to make some silk neckties for Christmas.

What type of silk is best for making a necktie? I see lots of different types when searching for silk fabrics.
And do you have a store you would recommend to buy this fabric.

(I’ve checked JoAnn and I do not see what I need. I’m willing to pay extra for good quality fabric.)

I decided to make it my goal to learn how to tie a necktie into a bowtie, which I have heard it is possible (as opposed to using a bowtie to tie into a bowtie), does anyone know how to do this? I must know!

I am getting married in Oct. ‘08. The bridemaid dresses I picked out from David’s Bridal are persimmon and cognac. The place I am getting the guy’s tuxes (MW Tux) does not have ties in matching colors. Can anyone tell me where I can find some?
